Regional Queensland home specialist Sure Insurance has appointed Peter Horan as broker development manager.

Mr Horan was most recently head of portfolio at QIB Group’s Regional Insurance Brokers, and he was QBE distribution manager from 2013 to 2020. Both positions were in based in north Queensland.

He has more than 35 years’ financial services and insurance experience, including spells with Suncorp and NZI Insurance. 

“Peter’s broad industry and regional broker management experience will see him drive portfolio growth and effectively manage relationships in line with our business strategy,” Sure MD Bradley Heath said.

Mr Horan takes over from Patrick Campbell, who has taken the new position of national broker development manager, focusing on Sure’s Castle Insurance business, which launched on October 1.

“Patrick will oversee expanding and enhancing the Castle broker network while creating additional opportunities for existing and new brokers,” Mr Heath said.

“His unique skills and experience in leading, coaching and developing high-performing business development teams is a timely fit to both the Castle and Sure strategic growth plans.”
