NM hails broker partnerships on milestone anniversary
Zurich-backed NM Insurance is celebrating its 20th anniversary and reflecting on an expansion that has produced nine specialist brands, five offices and a team of more than 100 staff.
The underwriting agency began in April 2005 with a focus on recreational boat insurance in Australia.
It now specialises in motorbikes, marine, cargo and caravanning, and operates across Australia and New Zealand. It recently opened offices in Victoria and WA, joining established branches in Sydney, Auckland and Brisbane.
CEO Lyndon Turner says the milestone is an opportunity to “reflect on how we’ve grown as a business, as we look ahead and plan for the next 20 years and beyond.
“We started with a strategy to offer premium coverage and service at competitive rates. That offer has not changed as NM Insurance has grown and diversified over the past two decades. It’s a privilege to lead such a brilliant team and work with some fantastic customers and partners.”
NM Insurance’s specialist brands include Nautilus Marine Insurance, Australian Caravan Insurance, National Motorcycle Insurance and Proteus Marine Insurance.
Head of client and market development Glen Schembri says the team looks forward to strengthening its partnerships and forging new ones.
“Our success over the past 20 years has been built on the trust and support of our distribution partners – insurance brokers, networks and industry partners. Their commitment has shaped our journey,” he said.
