Scott Newland has been promoted to general insurance head of sales and client services at Gallagher Bassett.

Brisbane-based Mr Newland joined the claims manager more than a decade ago after holding senior client and claims operations positions at Marsh and IAG.

In the new role, he will lead the sales and client services teams and aim to grow the general insurance business across government, insurer, Lloyd’s and corporate markets.

“Scott brings extensive industry experience and leadership across our specialty portfolios,” Gallagher Bassett said.

“His contribution has been instrumental in strengthening our general insurance capability and establishing Gallagher Bassett as a market-leading claims management partner across Australia.

“We look forward to seeing Scott lead the next phase of growth.”
