Charlotte Lau has been appointed national head of operations at Cowden – a role that includes responsibility for IT, plus people and culture.

Sydney-based Ms Lau was previously Sedgwick head of customer operations in Asia, Crawford & Company regional head of operations and people, and QBE VP for distribution strategic sales in Asia-Pacific.

She will build systems and operational support for Cowden brokers to serve clients.

The company’s Australian CEO Veronica Grigg – who also previously held senior roles at Sedgwick, Crawford and QBE – says Ms Lau “brings energy, discipline and a highly collaborative approach to Cowden. Her focus is on making it easier for our brokers.”

Cowden was founded in 1972 in Perth and now has offices in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.
