CFC grows local team amid ‘strong momentum in cyber’

Gemma Hicks has been appointed cyber development manager for Australia at CFC.

She was previously business development manager at Coalition in Sydney for three years and has also worked at BizCover, Chubb and Blake Oliver.

“Her appointment further reinforces our commitment to investing in local expertise to support our broker partners and capture the growth opportunity in this largely untapped market,” cyber cover specialist CFC’s Australian MD Anita Lane said.

“We’re seeing strong momentum in cyber across Australia, and scaling sustainably means strengthening our presence on the ground.”

Ms Hicks says she is “looking forward to working closely with our broker partners to help make cyber conversations more accessible, support portfolio growth and ensure more businesses can benefit”.

Earlier this month, London-based Adam Winslow was appointed CFC Group CEO, replacing Louise O’Shea, who remains a significant shareholder.

“CFC is one of the genuine success stories of the specialty market – a business with a distinctive model, an exceptional team and real momentum. That’s what attracted me,” said Mr Winslow – formerly Aviva’s CEO for UK and Ireland general insurance.

Ms O’Shea says Mr Winslow is “a great leader for CFC’s next phase of development and international expansion”.
