Broking bosses swap boardroom for dance floor to raise funds
Lisa Carter and Kate Greaves will perform a country-rock dance at Brisbane City Hall next month to raise funds for Women’s Legal Service Queensland.
Ms Carter, CEO of Clear Insurance, and Goldsworthy General Insurance director Ms Greaves say the May 30 performance at Dancing CEOs will combine their “vastly different” musical tastes into a “mash-up with an insurance flavour”.
“Through an insurance-themed dance, Lisa and Kate aim to elevate the insurance industry in the minds of their captive audience. Insured-By portrays the highs and lows of the claims process.”
Women’s Legal Service Queensland provides support to women and children experiencing domestic violence. Ms Carter says she understands the critical need for such services after being exposed to family violence as a child.
“If I can dance on a stage to help another eight-year-old girl not have to witness what I did, then that’s the least I can do. It’s all about breaking the cycles and helping to create real change,” she said.

The two brokers are also seeking sponsors and auction prizes for more fundraising events this month, including a Play-It-Forward lunch at the Carina Leagues Club on April 24 and ClearFest at Brisbane Racing Club on April 26.
Ms Carter won broker of the year in 2019, and Ms Greaves was Queensland broker of the year for 2025.
