McLardy McShane raised more than $526,500 for charity at its latest annual conference.

The crowd was entertained by Grammy-winner Leo Sayer, X Factor Australia winner Reece Mastin and rock band Screaming Eagles at the three-day event on Hamilton Island.

And the evening’s highlight was a performance by Cold Chisel frontman Jimmy Barnes and his daughter.

“Our chairman Don’s love of music and a good time delivered the ultimate surprise: the almighty Jimmy Barnes, joined by Mahalia Barnes,” the brokerage said.

“Sun overhead, the Whitsundays all around us, and just over 500 of our people together in one place for the 19th McLardy McShane conference. Familiar faces and plenty of new ones took the floor across a huge program.

“The marina had a very good night – the pub crowd got themselves a free Jimmy Barnes concert and we’re not sure they'll forget it.”

McLardy McShane-owned Victory Funding raised $33,000 for Women for Women in Africa on its own.

Other charities supported include Cure EB, with survivor and ambassador Tilly Wilkes speaking at the conference.

"Year on year this community pulls together hundreds of thousands of dollars for causes that need it, and we cannot wait to get stuck into it - donations, on the ground work and sponsorship across our community partnerships," McLardy McShane said.
