Former National Australia Bank CFO Gary Lennon has been appointed non-executive director at AUB.

Melbourne-based Mr Lennon has also held senior executive roles at Deutsche Bank and KPMG. He is on the boards of toll road operator Transurban and education group the Stronger Smarter Institute, and is a former director of the Bank of New Zealand.

“Gary brings considerable experience in finance and accounting to the AUB board,” the broking group’s chair Peter Harmer said.

“I congratulate Gary on his appointment and look forward to his contribution. I am delighted to welcome a director of Gary’s calibre to the board as part of our orderly succession process.”

Former director Richard Deutsch retired last year.
