Arch staffs up for ‘next phase of digital journey’
Ed Short has been promoted to head of digital at Arch Insurance International.
He is responsible for executing the digital underwriting strategy and ensuring a cohesive approach across platforms in Australia, the UK, EU and Bermuda.
Arch Capital chief strategy and innovation officer Jay Rajendra says the appointment “marks the next phase of our digital journey, expanding our capabilities across our international platform following successes achieved across our North American business”.
The group aims to “become a first-choice digital partner for our brokers”, he says.
Mr Short joined Arch in 2023 and was most recently VP of digital partners. He has also worked at AdvantageGo, Hiscox, Barbican and HCC Global.
CEO Hugh Sturgess says investment in digital solutions is a “natural response to a changing distribution landscape and evolving broker placement strategies.
“I’m excited to appoint Ed to the role of head of digital as we build out our digital team, respond to the expanding needs of our brokers and deliver a digital ecosystem that sets us apart in the market.”
