Arch Insurance Australia has added to its professional indemnity team, recruiting Relanda Taing as senior underwriter for the northern region.  

Ms Taing, based in Sydney, will work across key sectors including construction, engineering and legal in Queensland, NSW and ACT.  

She joins from Sura, where she was a senior underwriter from 2021. Her previous experience also includes time at QBE and Berkley Insurance Australia.  

Ms Taing will report to Arch’s northern region underwriting manager for PI Chris Carreno, who says her “extensive PI experience, knowledge of the market and depth of broker relationships will help to further strengthen our capabilities”.  

The appointment follows the addition of Carey Sturgiss as a senior underwriter for PI in the southern region.
