Underwriting agency Agile says its Syndicate 2427 has become an “engine of growth” since its launch a year ago.

Highlights as the syndicate marks its first anniversary include expansion into marine; a growing pipeline of work for next financial year; and a property book that continues to develop.

“We’ve built solid momentum. What started as a relatively modest syndicate in a box now feels like a true engine of growth,” Syndicate 2427 active underwriter Mark Hunt said.

“Our focus remains on underwriting smartly, growing sustainably and delivering solutions brokers can count on.”  

Syndicate 2427 began operating in May last year in the Australian and New Zealand markets, with backing from Lloyd’s.

Classes covered include aviation, accident and health, construction, financial lines and travel.
