The NSW government has extended the consultation period for its review of workers’ compensation premiums.

It says the survey of employers and other stakeholders, conducted with workplace insurer icare, has generated a high number of responses, demonstrating the importance of the review to NSW businesses.

“As workplaces, industries and employer needs continue to evolve, the NSW government is working with icare to review whether the current approach to workers’ compensation premiums continues to support fair, stable and sustainable outcomes for employers into the future.

“Extending the consultation period will provide the community with additional time to provide their feedback and help inform the government”.

Public consultation will now close on November 8. Submit feedback here.
