Insurance Commission of WA interim CEO Helen Robinson will take the leadership role on a long-term basis.  

Ms Robinson – who will head the state insurer for a five-year term – stepped in after the retirement of Rod Whithear last July.

She joined the commission in July 2024 as COO, helping to lead the insurance, claims management and care management services.

She also represents the commission as a member of the WA Road Safety Council.

Ms Robinson has previous experience across public and private operations, including leadership roles at Serco, St John of God Health Care, Synergy and Western Power.  

“Stepping into the role of chief executive officer is both a privilege and a responsibility I hold with deep respect,” Ms Robinson wrote on LinkedIn.
