Queensland appoints building regulator board members

The Queensland government has named five new board members for the state building regulator, adding to appointments made earlier this year.

Housing Minister Sam O’Connor says the new Queensland Building and Construction Commission board will oversee an agenda that includes improving transparency and consistency of decisions, and delivering a more customer-friendly experience.

The new appointees include deputy chair Debra Robinson, a local government executive with more than 30 years’ experience across planning, development, construction, customer service and organisational transformation.

The others are Sally Noonan, Miriam Kent, Gerard Benedet and Chris Mountford.

In April the government appointed Greg Chemello as chair and Amelia Hodge as a board member. Angelo Lambrinos was appointed commissioner and CEO.
