An online guide to changes in the NSW workers’ compensation scheme has been published.

The State Insurance Regulatory Authority says the information hub includes details on permanent impairment injury assessment, psychological injury claims, and employer and insurer obligations.

“The reforms affect all participants in the workers’ compensation scheme,” the regulator said.

“What the changes mean will depend on the type of injury and when a claim was made or notified.

“SIRA will continue to update the information hub as further changes to the workers’ compensation scheme take effect.”

The reforms come after state parliament finally passed legislation earlier this year following months of protracted wrangling.
