SIRA begins hunt for next chief

The NSW State Insurance Regulatory Authority is searching for a new CEO after announcing the departure of Mandy Young last month.

The regulator is looking for a “highly experienced senior executive with strong regulatory leadership capability and the ability to operate at the highest levels of government”.

It says the successful candidate will “set the strategic direction and oversee the performance of SIRA to ensure effective, risk-based regulation of NSW’s key insurance schemes”.

SIRA oversees the state’s compulsory third party, workers’ compensation and home building compensation programs.
