Second regulatory road map revealed

The federal government has released the second edition of a regulatory road map that sets out reforms and activities affecting the financial services sector over the next two years.

Planning principles include that regulators should minimise overlap in significant consultations and non-routine data collection activities, and that sequencing and timing should be considered.

Financial Services Minister Daniel Mulino says the Regulatory Initiatives Grid helps industry, regulators and government work more closely together.

“This update reflects our commitment to making it simpler and easier to do business in Australia’s financial services sector,” he said.

The grid is available here.
