SA workers’ comp to change claims line-up after 15-year run

ReturnToWorkSA expects to provide an update on its search for new workers’ compensation claims managers early next year.

EML and Gallagher Bassett are the state’s current claims services providers, but their contracts expire on June 30.

“The current claims agent agreements … have been in operation for nearly 15 years,” a spokesperson for the SA workers’ compensation scheme told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“ReturnToWorkSA last undertook a procurement process for claims management services in 2012.

“In preparation for the contract expiry, and to enable ReturnToWorkSA to continue accessing specialised claims management services to support injured workers and employers, ReturnToWorkSA has commenced a procurement process to engage claims agents to provide claims management services from July 1 2027.”
