Reconstruction body faces flood response probe

NSW MPs have launched an inquiry into the state’s disaster recovery agency, focusing on its response to extreme weather events including east coast floods in May, Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred and the 2022 inundation in the Central West region.

The NSW Reconstruction Authority review is also seeking submissions on the effectiveness of housing resilience programs, ways to improve the authority’s operations, and the body’s adaptation work.

The Joint Select Committee on the NSW Reconstruction Authority will report by May next year.

The closing date for submissions is October 3. Find details here.
