The Motor Accidents Compensation contribution in NT vehicle registrations will remain unchanged at $607.25.

The contribution is a mandatory premium built into all territory registrations to fund compulsory third party insurance. It is commonly increased in line with inflation but has been on hold since 2024.

Most NT motorists will save $18-$52 per vehicle from the MAC freeze, NT Treasurer Bill Yan says.
