GB’s mobile case managers roll into NSW
Gallagher Bassett has launched a mobile service to manage NSW workers’ compensation claims as the state prepares for changes to workplace injury laws that passed parliament last month.
The claims manager says its mobile case management offering is designed for employers and injured staff, and has already “demonstrated its effectiveness” in SA.
“The goal of our MCM service is to deliver real-time face-to-face support in the workplace,” EGM for SA and NSW Josh Newberry said.
The service partners with clients to co-design and implement personalised health and return to work strategies.
“This involves early identification of employee profiles, environmental and operating risks, and unique requirements of each workforce,” Gallagher Bassett said.
Mr Newberry says mobile case managers design tailored recovery pathways for workers.
“Autonomy and ownership over decision-making are paramount for our case managers,” he said.
“Caseloads are capped at 25, ensuring each manager can build those critical face-to-face relationships with injured workers, employers and health professionals.”
