Former TAL Australia CFO Kent Griffin has joined the Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation’s board, replacing Clyde & Co consultant Oscar Shub.

Mr Griffin is currently Hume Bank MD and CEO, and was previously CEO at Acenda and a partner at EY.

Corporation chair Julie-Anne Schafer thanked Mr Shub – whose three-year term ends on Wednesday – “for his dedicated service and significant contribution to the organisation, particularly his expertise in insurance and reinsurance legal and contractual environments, and his deep knowledge of the insurance sector”.

The terms of board members Evelyn Horton, Eilis Hurley and Fran Raymond – which were also due to expire on Wednesday – have been extended to July 6.

Also on the board are Greg Nucifora and Rod Whithear.
