ICA hosts more insurer meetings in flood-hit north

The Insurance Council of Australia will return to north Queensland this month for meetings with customers affected by flooding in February.

From July 29 to 31 the peak body and member insurers will visit Cardwell, Ingham and Townsville.

Customers can have one-on-one meetings with insurers for advice and to discuss claims, and can also obtain general information on claims and dispute resolution.

It will be the third such visit to the region. ICA director of mitigation and extreme weather response Liam Walter says several communities will be in recovery mode for some time yet.

“Being on the ground again shows our ongoing commitment to face-to-face collaboration with everyone involved to resolve any remaining issues.”
