ICA hosts forum for storm victims

Policyholders with unresolved claims from November’s Port Pirie storm have been invited to attend information sessions run by the Insurance Council of Australia.

ICA convened similar insurance hubs in December and April after the November 22 hail and wind event 200km north to Adelaide.

Sessions on July 29 and 30 will allow policyholders to meet insurer representatives. People with existing claims or lodging new ones are invited.

ICA director of mitigation and extreme weather response Liam Walter says the storm caused significant disruption, and insurers continue to support customers in recovery.

“These consultations provide an important opportunity for policyholders to speak directly with their insurer about their claim and any questions they may have.

“We encourage anyone impacted by the November storms to register for an appointment and make use of the support available.”

The meetings are at Royal Port Pirie Yacht Club from 9am-4pm both days.

Bookings can be made here.
