AI leak detector enters home reno market
Bathroom and kitchen supplier GWA Group will sell US technology company Phyn’s new AI-driven water monitoring system across Australia and New Zealand.
Phyn Plus uses high-resolution sensing tools to track water flow patterns and detect potential leaks. It also features an automatic shut-off function.
“This partnership aligns strongly with our strategy to expand our ecosystem of water solutions, enhance water efficiency and deliver greater value and peace of mind to homeowners,” GWA MD and CEO Urs Meyerhans said.
Water damage claims typically cost Australians about $15,000 per incident, according to analysis from actuarial group Finity.
