WIP names partnerships chief

WIP Group head of growth Damien Davie has been promoted to chief partnerships officer.

The newly created position involves leading the group income protection specialist’s relationships with employers, industry bodies and superannuation funds.

WIP says the role “builds on a strategy [group CEO] Jason Potter-Rose began in April 2024, when he established a dedicated partnerships team to deepen the group’s work with those organisations”.

Mr Potter-Rose says Mr Davie’s appointment “strengthens the partnerships that have driven our growth. In a competitive market for skilled people, cover designed around each workforce helps our partners build their employer brand and keep their best people.”

WIP says it designs group income protection and accident and health cover with organisations that arrange it, and manages claims through its n2n Claims Solutions arm.

It says it has delivered more than $250 million in claims payments.

WIP also offers online income and lifestyle protection insurance for individuals through its Canopy Insurance business.
