TAL adds new program to adviser education course

TAL has updated the courses offered on its adviser education platform TAL Risk Academy.

The life insurer’s program is designed for financial advisers, professional year candidates and support staff across five streams: foundations, professional year, advice, business management and the newly announced “working with TAL”.

It says the new program will focus on product design, pricing and claims application, and will feature contributions from TAL’s technical team plus guest speakers including Financial Advice Association Australia CEO Sarah Abood, Australian Financial Complaints Authority Ombudsman Alexandra Sidoti and GPA Financial Services MD Jason Poole.

“Our course streams have evolved this year to reflect the changing role of financial advice, and all courses will continue to be modified to meet evolving adviser needs as the year progresses,” TAL Retail Sales and New Business GM Beau Riley said.

“We are particularly focused on investing in the development of new entrants to the profession, and equipping advisers with skills and insights to help them successfully navigate the evolving landscape of risk management.”

TAL says the platform has had more than 103,000 enrolments since it launched in 2015, delivering more than $830,000 in course fee donations to the Australian Business and Community Network.
