Pacific Life Re says Jia Yi Tan has joined as global chief underwriting and claims officer, based in Singapore.

She was appointed after her predecessor, Andrew Doran, became CEO of Underwrite Me, the insurtech subsidiary of Pacific Life Re.

Ms Tan began the role in December, according to her LinkedIn.

“With close to 20 years of experience across Asia-Pacific, Europe and America, including the last five years with Swiss Re, Jia brings a diverse and global perspective to the role,” Pacific Life Re said.

“Her deep insurance expertise, combined with a strong track record of leadership, will further advance Pacific Life Re’s strategic priorities across its global protection markets.”

Pacific Life Re provides protection and retirement products in the UK, Europe, North America, Australia and Asia.
