AIA has made key appointments and structural changes to its group insurance team.

Chris Healey arrived last month as chief group insurance officer, joining from TAL where he was group digital and technology delivery GM.

“To support this new chapter, AIA Australia has also reshaped its group insurance structure, creating several new roles and teams aligned to growth, product and service excellence, and strong partner and member delivery,” the life insurer said.

Peter Kelly, previously TAL’s head of digital propositions, has started as head of tender propositions, and Wayne Willis Davis, most recently Aware senior relationship manager, is leading the new corporate team.

AIA says GM for group partnership solutions Sujan Yamunarajan has become EGM of growth, and head of HESTA partnership Emily Bridger has been appointed products and propositions GM.

“These changes to our group insurance leadership and the singular focus of each team strengthens our ability to deliver product excellence and strong member outcomes, enabling us to support more Australians to live healthier, longer and better lives,” AIA Australia CEO Damien Mu said.
