David Ormsby has won Financial Advice Association Australia’s Gwen Fletcher Memorial Award for this year’s first semester of industry studies.

He is an adviser at O’Sullivan Financial in Brisbane and is undertaking a Master of Financial Planning qualification.

“It’s incredibly rewarding and a little surreal to receive this honour,” Mr Ormsby said.

“When I first learnt about the award, I was inspired by Gwen Fletcher’s impact on financial planning in Australia, which makes this recognition even more meaningful.”

The award recognises the highest-performing student in the Certified Financial Planner unit each semester.
