AMP CEO Craig Meller will retire towards the end of this year, according to a statement released to the Australian Securities Exchange this morning.

“Craig has led the transformation of AMP over the past five years,” Chairman Catherine Brenner said.

“The business has a clear and compelling strategy for growth and is performing well.”

Mr Meller will work with the board to ensure a smooth leadership transition, AMP says.
