Financial Advice Association Australia named annual industry award winners at its conference last week.

Oxide Financial MD and principal adviser Mark O’Flynn won the certified financial planner professional of the year award; Prominent Financial Services director Christine Swanson topped the adviser category; and Boutique Advisers Private Wealth was professional practice of the year.

Iconic Wealth director Kelly King took the Inspire Women excellence in advice prize; Frost Financial Services’ Aayush Sharma was next-gen rising star of the year; and university student honours went to Queenslander Katherine Mitterer, who is working on a bachelor of business (financial advice) qualification at the University of SA.

Association CEO Sarah Abood says the winners “are showcasing the positive and life-changing impact that financial advisers can have”.
