Jim Summers has been appointed global specialties CEO at Willis Re.

He will lead strategic direction and drive growth across all specialty classes worldwide, the broker says.

UK-based Mr Summers previously worked at Guy Carpenter for 15 years, most recently as deputy CEO of global specialties and global head of marine and energy specialty.

“Jim is one of the most respected leaders in the global specialty market, with an outstanding track record of building long-term client partnerships and high-performing businesses, making him an exceptional addition to the Willis Re leadership team,” director Lucy Clarke said.
