New Axa team focuses on threat prevention

Axa XL has launched a business unit for prevention services, led by global chief underwriting officer Libby Benet.

The division will combine data, analytics and technology with Axa XL’s risk engineering and advisory expertise to address threats such as climate change, supply chain disruption and cyber breaches, and lift operational resilience.

The prevention unit – which will sit alongside Axa’s Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe, UK and Lloyd’s, and reinsurance divisions – reflects the company’s view that as risks become more complex and interconnected, prevention is a key lever for businesses.

“Prevention must be at the heart of how we support our clients. That is why we are making services a core part of our offering,” Axa XL CEO Scott Gunter said.

Ms Benet says clients want more than risk transfer – “they want partners who can help them anticipate, prevent and mitigate risk”.
