Lloyd’s council vacancies filled after election
Lloyd’s has filled two vacancies on its council following elections described as “extremely competitive”.
Richard Dudley was re-elected and Duncan Dale elected, while Andrew Brooks steps down after nine years as a working member on the Council of Lloyd’s including as deputy chair.
Chair Charles Roxburgh say three candidates competed for two positions, with the new terms starting from February 1.
“Richard’s re-election is a testament to the significant value he brings to the council, and I look forward to Duncan contributing the deep expertise he has gained over more than 40 years in the industry,” he said.
Mr Dudley, BMS Group chief broking officer, was elected as a member of the society in 2012 and joined the council 2023. He is also president of the Insurance Institute of London, and chair of Lloyd’s technology and transformation committee.
Mr Dale is Dale Underwriting Partners founder and CEO. He was first elected as a member of the society in 2014, is a board member and executive committee chair of Dale Partners Group and an LMA board member.
The council has15 members comprising six elected members, the CEO, CFO and chief of markets, and six nominated participants, who are equivalent to independent non-executive directors.
