Gallagher Re has appointed Roshan Perera as Asia-Pacific head and Richard Jones as regional chairman. 

Mr Perera has more than 25 years’ experience and most recently led the Gallagher Re APAC strategic solutions team. 

Mr Jones has almost 40 years’ reinsurance broking experience, including as the group’s chairman of southeast Asia, Taiwan and Korea. 

“Roshan’s strategic vision and commitment to collaborative leadership coupled with Richard’s deep industry experience and insight make them an excellent fit for these roles,” Gallagher Re international CEO Dirk Spenner said. 

Former APAC head Mark O’Brien is leaving to pursue challenges outside broking, and Mark Morley, the former chairman of APAC and deputy chairman of international, is scheduled to retire.
