Aon has made several internal appointments in its reinsurance operation.

Alfonso Valera is the new CEO of international, responsible for the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Asia-Pacific, and Steve Hofmann becomes CEO of Americas.

George Attard has become global head of strategy for reinsurance and Tomas Novotny is chairman of international.

Mr Valera was previously co-CEO of EMEA for reinsurance and Mr Hofmann was US CEO of reinsurance.

Mr Attard was CEO of reinsurance for Asia-Pacific, and Mr Novotny was co-CEO of EMEA for reinsurance and chairman of the board for central and eastern Europe.
