Global insurance data standards group ACORD has promoted Chris Newman to lead its arm driving uptake of digital technology.

He becomes ACORD Solutions Group CEO after previously serving as president international.  

“Chris’ leadership, strategic vision and proven track record make him exceptionally well suited to guide ASG through its next chapter,” ACORD chair and Steadfast CEO Robert Kelly said.

ACORD Solutions Group was formed in 2016 as an industry-owned extension of the standards-setting body to help members address technology challenges and improve systems.

Mr Newman says the group is “shaping the industry’s future by creating a fully connected, secure ecosystem where insurers, brokers, agents and vendors collaborate seamlessly”.
