Zurich has acquired cyber and risk management insurtech BOXX to provide retail and SME insurance and services worldwide.

Canada-based BOXX will be integrated into Zurich Global Ventures, while continuing to operate under its own brand.

Since its launch in 2018, the insurtech has expanded to serve nearly 1 million customers across five continents. Offerings span prevention, protection and recovery, tailored to customers across retail and “business-to-business-to-employee” markets.

Zurich Global Ventures has collaborated with BOXX since 2021.

“Becoming part of Zurich provides us with the resources and global reach to accelerate our mission,” BOXX CEO and co-founder Vishal Kundi said.
