SXSW Sydney opens pitch contest

Insurtechs are invited to apply for a pitch competition at SXSW Sydney in October.

The contest will showcase groundbreaking start-ups that “disrupt industries and change our lives for the better”, organisers say.

SXSW Sydney is the local leg of South by Southwest, which was founded in 1987 in Texas as an annual conference celebrating tech, film, music, education and culture.

The six-day Sydney event starts on October 14.

Start-ups from around the world will pitch to a panel of industry experts and investors in front of a live audience. Winners will then pitch at SXSW Austin or London next year.

Submissions can be made here and tickets bought here.
