Ravin's AI motor loss to assist Clarion claims team
Third-party administrator Clarion Claims has partnered with Ravin AI, a Texas-based AI vehicle inspector.
New specialist claims manager Clarion – founded by Drew Schnehage and Curium CEO Tetiana George and aimed at insurers, brokers, underwriting agencies and fleet companies – says Ravin AI's technology is now embedded in Curium's platform alongside the Clarion motor claim service.
Ravin draws on billions of vehicle images and uses AI to assess damage in photos taken by customers or tow truck drivers. It grades the severity and identifies the likely repair pathway, giving Clarion's claims team a view of the vehicle at first notice of loss.
"Ravin AI gives policyholders, drivers and fleet operators an instant, app-free way to capture damage at the scene, which speeds up the whole claims lifecycle from day one," Ms Schnehage said.
"Damage intelligence captured at the scene flows straight into triage, assessment, repair management and reporting without re-keying."
Ravin CEO Eliron Ekstein says embedding the Texas insurtech's computer-vision model in Clarion's workflows "makes accurate, automated damage analysis available from any mobile device, helping Australian insurers, brokers, MGAs and fleet teams resolve claims faster".
