Lift-off for more ICEYE satellites

ICEYE has launched six synthetic aperture radar satellites into orbit with mission manager Exolaunch.

The 25cm-resolution devices left Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on March 30 aboard the Transporter-16 ride-share mission with SpaceX.

ICEYE’s satellites conduct persistent radar imaging of the Earth, even through clouds and smoke and in total darkness.

They share data with customers in sectors such as insurance, natural catastrophe response, security, maritime monitoring and finance.

ICEYE has put 70 satellites into orbit since 2018, including two aboard the Twilight ride-share mission in January.

Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE has staff in Australia, Poland, Spain, the UK, Japan, the UAE, Greece and the US.
