Honey thanks departing VP for ‘blood, sweat and tears’

Honey Insurance VP of partnerships Eoghan Trehy has left the business after three years.

Mr Trehy led strategic partnerships with heavyweights such as Bank of Queensland, AGL, Metricon, Harvey Norman and McGrath Real Estate.

“The time was right to finish up in the role and allow me space to rest and the ability to recharge, reflect and reset,” he said. “Honey is destined for great things and set on a trajectory to even more success. I am grateful and privileged to have been a part.”

Last month, Honey raised $108 million and over the next 18 months it aims to triple revenue, turn profitable and double headcount to more than 200 people.

Mr Trehy was formerly national head of insurance at Macquarie Group for more than six years.

Honey CEO and founder Richard Joffe says he will be much missed.

“I'm so appreciative for all the blood, sweat and tears you've put into helping our business get to this point,” he said.
