Alpha Insurance has joined SSP’s Pure administration platform after acquiring QBE’s insurance businesses in Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu.

It is live on Pure Insurance in Vanuatu, with full implementation in PNG expected later this year.

Alpha has expanded its footprint across the Pacific insurance market, acquiring Tower Insurance (PNG) in 2022.

Regional GM of operations Samuel Avenell says the SSP platform will streamline operations and let it more effectively respond to the unique needs of each Pacific nation, while maintaining a consistent approach.

“We are delighted to partner with SSP and adopt the innovative and flexible Pure Insurance platform,” he said.

“It gives us the agility to offer a broader range of products and enhanced services to our customers across the Pacific.” 

SSP New Zealand manager Samuel Finkle says Pure is designed to meet the diverse needs of Pacific nations while delivering unified, efficient insurance administration.
