Fetch brings in funds, looks to expand team

Pet cover insurtech Fetch has raised more funding and is recruiting for various roles.

Previous investors Airtree and Meta’s local MD William Easton participated, along with new backer Lightspeed.

“Pretty amazing what the Fetch team have achieved in their first few years ... excited to see the business go from strength to strength,” Mr Easton said. “Some fantastic new roles if you’re keen to be part of a fast-growing, ambitious and well-funded scale-up.”

Sydney-based Fetch launched in 2023. It says its investors include vets, insurance CEOs, pet retailers, marketing experts, founders and tech leaders. It is underwritten by Pacific International Insurance.

CEO Phil Wilson-Brown says the insurtech is hiring for roles in product, engineering, growth, marketing, legal, finance and customer operations.

In the past year, Fetch has tripled the number of pets it insures and its workforce has grown to more than 40 employees across Australia and the UK, according to Mr Wilson-Brown, who formerly led IAG’s Satellite business.
