DXC names innovative insurance tech startups

DXC has announced the winners of its annual awards recognising innovative late-stage insurance technology firms in Australia and New Zealand.

Hollard-backed Kanopi was one of three winners, taking home the improving insurance value chain prize.

Fraud detection platform Truuth topped the category for application programming interface integration into the DXC insurance software suite and LeapForward.ai won out in the competition in the workers' compensation, self-insurance and public liability section.

“The 2026 winners demonstrated not only strong innovation, but also practical, scalable solutions that have the potential to deliver meaningful value across the insurance ecosystem,” DXC Technology Asia Pacific regional GM for insurance Michael Neary said.

“We look forward to exploring opportunities to collaborate with these organisations and help bring their innovations to customers across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.”

DXC partnered with Insurtech Australia and the University of Technology Sydney to run the competition. Winners were selected after making their pitch earlier this month.

“Now in its ninth year, the DXC Invitational continues to serve as a valuable launchpad for insurtechs and industry innovators,” DXC said.

“Each year, we see an exceptional calibre of ideas presented to address some of the insurance industry’s most pressing challenges.”

Insurtech Australia CEO Simone Dossetor says the quality of this year’s finalists demonstrates the strength of innovation emerging from across Australia and New Zealand.

“We are proud to partner with DXC in providing a platform for startups and scaleups to connect directly with industry leaders and showcase solutions that have the potential to transform customer outcomes and industry performance,” she said.
