DingGo 'plugs motor claims leakage' with new tool

Smash repair insurtech DingGo has launched an AI motor claims management platform designed to reduce claims leakage and manage complex third-party claims.

MotorClaimPro integrates with established systems such as Guidewire, Wilbur and Five Sigma and helps with liability decisions, recoveries, negotiations, repair and rental costs, tax, multiple parties, financial hardship cases and potential litigation.

It manages both outbound recoveries, where an insurer or claims administrator seeks to recover costs from an at-fault third party, and inbound demands, where a third party seeks payment from the insurer's customer.

DingGo co-founder Josh Sandford says MotorClaimPro assists one of the most operationally demanding and complex to administer parts of motor insurance.

"A specialist motor claims layer can automate the repetitive work, guide claims teams through complex decisions and make sure every dollar and every action is accounted for," he said.

MotorClaimPro returns a complete audit trail to the insurer's master claims system and offers step-by-step playbooks for recovery and demand management, with automated communication, the company says.

Mr Sandford says claims leakage is often caused by "hundreds or thousands" of small decisions, missed follow-ups, data entry inconsistencies, or unchallenged costs or recoveries that weren't pursued as effectively as they could have been.

“If you can structure those processes, automate the routine work and make every financial decision visible, you have an opportunity to materially change the economics of a motor claims portfolio."
