Codafication wins Guidewire contest

Codafication won cloud platform Guidewire’s Insurtech Vanguards Pitch Day in Sydney on Thursday – the first time the competition has been held in Australia.

Queensland-based Codafication’s customers include Suncorp, IAG, Aon and QBE. It will now be showcased at the Guidewire Connections event in Nashville, US, attended by 3000 industry executives, investors and media.

“It was an outstanding pitch and this victory will go a long way in assisting Codafication’s US aspirations,” Insurtech Australia said. “We’re looking forward to seeing the results of their Nashville pitch later this year.”

Codafication offers project management platform Crunchwork, triage tool Virtual Assist, and Unity, which it says builds software in minutes in any language on any database.

“Unity is our secret sauce ... we use that platform to create other products like Crunchwork and Virtual Assist,” Codafication said.

The company competed against Canberra’s Haast, Sydney-based HumanableCX, Quant Property Solutions from Ballarat and South Africa’s Thesl at the pitch event.
