Codafication, FloodMapp combine on disaster claims

Codafication says its Crunchwork platform in combination with FloodMapp technology is offering insurers and flood crews real-time automation, mapping and claim triaging to speed response times during the Queensland and NSW catastrophe.

Codafication MD and Co-Founder Daniel Sandaver said today the Crunchwork and FloodMapp offering removes double handling of data and allows insurers and third-party providers an immediate visual representation of which claims are in the areas most affected by flood damage.

“It’s been fantastic to see how the integration between FloodMapp and Codafication has had such a positive impact on triaging the claims produced by the floods,” Mr Sandaver said today.

“This is an incredibly intense time for insurers and the supply chain, so being able to make informed decisions that will reduce the long-term impact of this damage is really encouraging.”

FloodMapp, founded by CEO Juliette Murphy, specialises in rapid real-time flood forecasting and inundation mapping to provide greater warning time.

The firms say overlaying FloodMapp technology with Crunchwork capability speeds assessments and facilitates responses that will minimise health impacts and assist policyholders and insurers.

“If insurers are able to see dollars saved with this kind of triaging that could impact the long-term outcomes of premium increases, etc,” Mr Sandaver told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

Codafication says Australian Building and Construction Group are using the technology in a pilot to handle claims on behalf of Suncorp IAG, Youi and QBE.
