Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has established a new Australia and New Zealand financial and professional liability unit.  

Svend Eriksen leads the large corporate portfolio team of underwriters, targeting clients with market capitalisation above $750 million.  

“Svend’s leadership will be instrumental in strengthening our position in this key segment,” head of casualty and finpro ANZ director Lucinda Conlon said. “Svend will also be responsible for the development of our directors’ and officers’, crime and [employment practices liability] products.”

Jerry Rompotis has  been appointed to lead the corporate portfolio team, and also continues as professional indemnity expert.

Ms Conlon says the new unit combines the expertise of the executive risk and professional indemnity teams.

“Through this alignment, we will offer a comprehensive suite of finpro products to our valued clients, working closely in partnership with our broker network,” she said.

Mr Eriksen joined Swiss Re almost four years ago and previously spent a decade at AIG. Mr Rompotis has been at Swiss Re almost two years and has held senior roles at Berkshire Hathaway, Suncorp and Vero. They both live in Melbourne.
